Hi.
I have downloaded the compiled version of FXLabs but I am unable to run it as it shows 2 errors on my computer.
Process ID = 0x760
Thread ID = 0x17f4
I do not know what these mean or how I can rectify the problem. I am not allowed to download the source code version although I do not know how this will help me as I am a programming beginner.
I have developed some trading strategies in excel and written some EA's in Metatrader but have 2 systems I wish to automate without the use of MT4. I know nothing about C# but am willing to spend time learning and the idea of autotrading via Oanda is appealing. I simply wish to load prices into an api from gain or MT4, it to perform the calculations based solely on price and send time limited stops and limit orders.
I was hoping that with FXLabs I could kick start my learning.
Can you help.

Could you post an image of the error message and/or provide more details as to when does it occur and what are the actions leading to it?

Hi. Thanks for the reply. It seems I cannot post images so I will describe the message.

when i try to "open" or "run" the extracted FXLABS.NET.exe i get this error

Application has generated an exception that could not be handled
Process ID=0xacO(2752), thread id=0x974(2420)
OK to terminate the application
CANCEL to debug

The debug window says
an unhandled exception ("System.TypeInitializationException") occured in FXlab.net.exe [2752]

I have the full version of visual studio 2005 installed. It suggests that I can download the source code version on the main forum page but I "do not have permission" to do so.
can you help?

I get the same error when downloading the compiled version.

I try to download the source and get a permission message.

Really would like to check this out as I have alot of ideas and there seems to be difficult
to get started.

Still not sure where the base library code is, or if only samples are available...

You can export indicators and prices from MT4 to Excel and execute orders from excel to several MT4s + other cool staff. It is explained here www.fxdialogue.com.
